Pure Soul and circumstances

About This Quote

In ancient Greece, the poet Homer referred to a girl named Helen who was a symbol of pure soul and beautiful outside. However, her beauty led to her being kidnapped by the King of Sparta and taken to Troy, where she became the love interest of Paris, a prince from Troy. Helen’s beauty was known throughout the world, and when she was abducted, her beauty quickly took on a different form in the eyes of all who saw it. In other words, when we consider Helen to be pure soul, we have to take into account everything that surrounded her. The circumstances that surrounded her were not what made her beautiful but an extension of who she was as a person.
